Austin City Limits - Festival Fashion

I'll pretend she was walking to the fest, but I actually think she might have just been shopping on Congress, that is what her outfit says. I would have to laugh at anyone wearing an eyelet dress to the dustiest dirtiest event ever. Great chic thong sandals and I love a mini dress with pockets.

She was on Congress too, she looks so good because her look is so simple. I am normally opposed to long dresses that don't hit the ground, but this would have to count as a midi length which is a hard one to get right, super props to you casual dress girl.

Isn't he great, he was trying to encourage people to register but everyone was just ignoring him. I don't know why I think this outfit is so perfect, the jean shorts are just right and I never thought I would say that about a guy in rolled up cutoffs. The boat shoes and the hat and the white tee just have this easygoing air that he wears so well.

A crochet dress is such a faux pas waiting to happen but I like this one for some reason. Maybe it is the neutral color with rainbow, I don't know but it works. The only thing is the length is a little off and makes her have kankles, a little shorter or all the way to the floor would be better - you know that would be so heavy though.

Nice hat, why doesn't she look like a joke? Because it was so freakin hot and shes got an innovative yet still classic way to keep a cool head. Hate that dress though, ew.

These cute girls in cute dresses are so cool with their giant beers. I love the dresses though seriously, I think they must be vintage. Cute girls in cute dresses should be the theme of this blog.

See what I mean, cute girls in cute dresses with beers everywhere. I wish I had worn her Mexican dress rather than my favorite jeans which turned out to be so ridiculously hot and along with my thonged feet got so efing dirty and gross.

Like the white dress the best, had to chase her down and then couldn't get her alone. I think the dress is some kind of chiffon, its hard to tell but it was very floaty and airy and light and sort of shimmered in the sun. and with the boots it is more than perfect, like a fairy.

Cooler girls were wearing rompers instead of dresses. You have got to be young and whip thin to get away with this, and it may be important to have a good strapless bra that you don't mind wearing for hours. But who can blame her for neglecting to wear a bra at a seriously hippiefied festival, not me. I also like her white leather flip flops and golden aviators, and her hair was super perfect in real life.

See how cool a romper can be if you are four feet tall and 80lbs? I have those hot red Ray Bans and I love them because they match my Barbie Car. This is a great lightweight denim shorty romper and the yellow gladiators just punch the whole outfit up a notch. Can't forget that sexy Gucci bag, she is one of my favorite youngsters that I caught that day.

I almost don't know what to say. He is supremely brave, I did not get the feeling that he was gay, just too hip to wear real clothes. I am sure both of these pieces came from different vintage or secondhand shops around Austin. I love that he is able to pull this off because quite frankly no one should go out of the house like this, especially guys. I think it must be the whole festival vibe that makes him look so cool, you can't see but he was wearing these little sparkly double cherry stud earrings too.

This girl must be 14, but she is totally rocking that bandanna and those matching hot pink wish-we-were-Ray-Bans that absolutely everyone had on. Ugh those shorts, but they match so its cool, shes too young to be held accountable for wearing disposable non-fashion.

Boys in pink tees are cool, I am a freak for pink tees so you understand why I had to put this guy up. Only real men wear pink on purpose, especially with black my favorite color combo, but what are those hideous things on his feet - just ignore those if you can.

Isn't she the chicest girl in the world, everyone wishes they looked this good in the midst of a dirty hot festival. The mini dress is not too mini, her hat says that she wants to protect fragile face skin from the harsh sun. Keeping cool while looking good is an art and she is a master, and those gladiators are just the crowning flourish that give her an extra fashionable edge.

This probably isn't really fashion because she is wearing those horrible Nike shorts that everyone has, but I'll excuse her this once just because of her sweet shades, cute hippie headband and chic snakeskin gladiator sandals.

This guy is very rock, my favorite look but he is wearing designer too...I love his black and gray color palatte which I know he did purposely to match his tattoos.

Blue jeans do not change the palette, they are a neutral and so are those hot boots. he just looks smashing and I wish I had caught him with his boots on and the jeans rolled down, I wonder if he wore them tucked in or out of the boots. I think True Religions look so much better on boys than on girls, the giant stitching is too overwhelming on a chick. Don't blame him for taking his shoes off though it was about a zillion degrees in the thick of that crowd.

Oh my God I am obsessed with this group, not only were they the hardest rocking stars out there but they are so stylish I want to cry. I am obsessed with this girl, I want to be her. I know she wears those golden boots every single day because every time I see her in an interview she is wearing them and she talks about them every once in awhile.

My rock star idol! I would seriously kill to meet her, I bet she has the fiercest attitude too which only seems to turn me on more.
